The training centre
The training centre:
The Centre de Formation et d’Entraînement aux Techniques d’Intervention en Tunnel (CFETIT) [Centre for Education and Training in Tunnel Intervention Techniques] trains the French and Italian Fréjus tunnel firefighters as well as those of the Savoie SDIS and supports them in learning about technical developments and current intervention methods. The CFETIT infrastructure, which is located in 600m² of technical hub premises can act as a test centre for fire equipment or safety equipment suppliers, and as a location for the training of personnel on underground structures.
Located in the département of Savoie, at the heart of the Franco-Italian Alps, where there are a large number of tunnels, CFETIT also makes its expertise available to trainees operating in a wide variety of domains: tunnel operators, public or private emergency services, underground site personnel, manufacturers, etc. The reputation of CFETIT extends beyond national frontiers, with the centre receiving trainees from many different countries, such as Greece, Italy, Canada, etc…

The CFETIT training team:
Education is essential, with specific, and compliant requirements, experts selected for their technical skills and expertise, in other words, trained to be able to communicate their knowledge effectively, as well as innovative educational techniques.
The training team is Franco-Italian with training profiles that match the needs of the centre: fire instructors of the Fréjus Tunnel fire emergency services, MNPS [fist-aid instructors], HASAW trainers, an HASAW instructor trainer approved by INRS, FOR 1, FOR 2, self-contained breathing apparatus instructor, volunteer firefighters with extensive current operational experience.
Our trainers are all CCE qualified (Certificat de Compétences en Entreprise) [Business Skills Certificate].

L’attrezzatura e i locali comuni:
Il centro può accogliere molti stagisti con un alto livello di confort. Esso comprende:
- Aula dei corsi: dotata dei più recenti mezzi didattici in materia di comunicazione e formazione
- Abbigliamento e attrezzature: abbigliamento uomo e donna – docce – Apparecchi Respiratori Isolanti (ARI) – maschere con kit radio individuali – caschi SPF1 – Telecamere termiche portatili.
- Sala per il riscaldamento fisico: tapis roulant e Climbmill permettono agli stagisti un risveglio muscolare prima di iniziare gli esercizi.
- Impianti di ripristino: pulizia e ricondizionamento dopo gli esercizi con vasca ad ultrasuoni, armadio di asciugatura delle attrezzature di intervento nel rispetto delle regole igieniche, armadietto personale di asciugatura riscaldato ad aria pulsata.
È a disposizione anche un alloggiamento esterno, in caso di formazione di più giorni.
